Thank you so much for sharing your heart, Donna. Keep up the good work as you document your growth in Christ. So many people need to hear your authenticity. I’m a writer. I’ve done some videos for business, but not for this topic, yet. But the video medium is absolutely essential to reach the next generation with the truth of what Stanton is all about.

While masturbation is definitely a sin, Stanton's approach makes the cure worse than the disease. By telling kids they'll lose their mind, the kids will never confide, and if they don't confide in adults, it's very hard to overcome alone. It is a very dangerous sin, but harsh and severe punishment is rarely effective to drive it out. I'm pretty sure every young boy ever raised in Stanton dealt with masturbation at one time or another. I'd be shocked to learn any boys existed who never masturbated once. It should not be common, and it wasn't 100 years ago, but… Read more »
Though I was no teacher, I took some pretty harsh measures myself at times, simply thinking it was what my teachers would do. Once, a dear friend from childhood asked me for a ride to a funeral of a dear friend of ours that had passed away from a drug overdose in Stanton. I wanted to, but remembered the preacher had said we don't have anything to do with him, as he is a troublemaker. So, I declined, after a painstaking battle in my conscience. I wanted to give my friend a ride, but I didn't want to offend my… Read more »
To "Another Country…" Why on earth would you choose to judge/condemn Donna when she has a contrite heart, confessed her sins and has fully repented? Do you think you are greater than God in casting judgment against a child of God who has already been forgiven by Him? If you don't forgive neither shall your sins be forgiven you. (Matthew 6:15) – be warned, Jesus said that.
You were encouraged, like many of us, to use a rod of pride when teaching others. Take the rod of anger, or the rod of mercilessness, and beat the sin out of others, even when you are guilty of the same thing yourself. Telling a pregnant woman to go against medical advice and "push the flesh" and climb stairs and endanger the unborn child was merciless. It is the sign of a predatory leader to make unreasonable demands upon others and then guilt trip them when they fail. You have a physical handicap like a bad back? You need to… Read more »
Donna was one of the worst of the unjust judges.
That is a huge problem with the church. They make your "pushing the flesh" have more power than Matt. 25:31-46. We had an elderly woman who was having trouble making it and heard that she eventually quit coming because of the "pushing the flesh" tactics. In another congregation a man had broken his leg and they were doing the same to him about "pushing" himself. They have taken they power away from Matt 25 and "bearing one another's burdens" by removing themselves from the responsibility of practicing those scriptures to putting it on to those who need the help. This… Read more »
They are making "pushing the flesh" more of a sin than the fact that they are NOT exercising the scriptures they are supposed to. Another thing they like to do is make new laws that they consider sin. I.e., It was said in a round about way in a sermon that not letting any other member just show up at your house without notice is a sin. It was a sermon about "men of God" and was said that anybody who doesn't let people do that to them is NOT a man of God. So, in order to not be… Read more »
Another Country Heard from: were you in a congregation I was in? Or did you get that opinion from someone else.? I will admit I was unjust, but to say I was the worst- not so sure. I’m not going to defend myself, but I really didn’t have much to do with people outside of our local congregations, like counselors did.
Donna B. I never heard any judgements that came from you at all. Did you ever have a voice at May meetings? You admitted and confessed your sins. Many many leaders in Merie’s cult need to acknowledge their wrongs. Hmm did Merie confess her sins and all the lives and families she negatively affected by her off judgements?
I just came across this blog and find it very interesting. I have been out going on 23 yrs. and wished there would have been such a venue to tap into. I agree with Donna, and admire her honesty and self assessment. I will say she was not one of the worst.
It is called manipulation through guilt.
Concerned outsider. You are exactly correct. When I preached the main preacher MM was visiting Boise. He called me on a Saturday night as I was completing my lesson to not ask but tell me to rebuke one publicly for a sin they were considering to commit. I disagreed thinking since he new all the facts he should do it when he returned back to Portland. That’s when he began to use manipulation to get me to do something that even went against my own conscience. He wanted me to do so in a manner that was harsh and unmerciful.… Read more »
I will never fathom the reason of the rush to judgement to rebuke another child of God. It goes through my head that whatever we do to each other is done to a child of God. This is David's response when his men said to kill the sleeping Saul – 1 Samuel 24:6 And he said unto his men, The Lord forbid that I should do this thing unto my master, the Lord's anointed, to stretch forth mine hand against him, seeing he is the anointed of the Lord. The best thing they could have done with that sister was… Read more »
Hey Donna, I am trying to find an application for proverbs 26:2 As the bird by wandering, as the swallow by flying, so the curse causeless shall not come. I observed that curses start out slowly, step by step, then as they gain momentum they take flight like a bird and come much more quickly and cover ground at a fast rate, kind of like a little leaven leavens the whole lump allow something in one area of life and it quickly spreads to every area of life like birds spread to every area of the world. AnonymousFebruary 16, 2019 at 11:59 AM I'm sure Donna has a good answer, but before she responds, Matthew Henry had a good commentary on it, and his commentary, since it was written over 400 years ago, is a lot better than most of those today, where people are influenced by television, drugs, and porn. They rarely realize how their intellect is perverted, and many of the leaders in Stanton believe they are God's anointed on earth, out of 7.5 billion humans. A very pleasing and flattering thought, particularly to the ego, but pride goes before the fall. Henry's commentary on… Read more »
Interesting let me ask a follow up question proverbs 10:9 says that he that perverteth his ways shall be known and androgynous behaviors is one way that a perversion is manifested. Having both male and female traits in the same person is androgynous like men having long hair like a woman, or women having shaved head like a man; therefore the Christians in Corinth being androgynous in appearance were they manifesting a perversion?
AnonymousFebruary 18, 2019 at 10:07 PM Androgynous is no where in the Bible, and God condemns sin, not the mannerisms and idiosyncrasies humans manifest. This is a huge problem in Stanton and in psychiatry. Both try to diagnose problems where none exist according to God's word. Stanton constantly will say people have lost their mind, and has been proven wrong time and again. They are also huge on pointing out effeminate mannerisms, and saying this is a result of uncleanness. Well, every man in there has been unclean, with few exceptions, so why don't they all have effeminate mannerisms? Of… Read more »
AnonymousFebruary 18, 2019 at 10:07 PM An interesting query, and where it's motivations come from would be nice to know. Exhibiting male and female characteristics when one is the opposite sex is a very subjective issue. Does everyone who sins automatically display characteristics of the opposite sex? No, they don't. This passage you ask about is talking about sin will not be hidden, it will be revealed. How you thought about androgyny is the first I've ever heard that scripture applied that way in my entire life, and I've never heard of any Christian in world history, including Kellogg who… Read more »
Thank you Donna for your insight. Let me ask you about the rule of three. In symbology 3 is equated with truth. If something happens once it is dismissed as an accident, if it happens twice it is dismissed as a coincidence, but if something happens three times it is a certainty, a truth. In Matthew 26:36 it mentions Christ prayed the same prayer three times, this shows not vain repetitious prayer but sincere desire on the part of Christ, in Acts 11:10 Peter recounts the vision he had recieved three times about allowing the gentiles into Christianity, three times… Read more »
Hullo again Arizona, I thought that was you. You go away for awhile, and then show up as anonymous, pick a random, out of the way verse in the Bible, put a psychiatric spin on it that no one in credible church history has heard of, and come back again, like Simon the Sorcerer, and oh, you are even discussing mystic symbolism, of the number 3, on your latest comment, which is associated with astrology and witchcraft. Christ said not to bother about signs and symbols, but according to you, it's of utmost importance. I'll go with Christ on that… Read more »
You have a negative perspective on life Mr. Ryan.
Bearing false witness is pretty negative, Arizona. Not too many positives about it.
Everybody suffers in this life, some take a negative perspective and some take a positive perspective about their suffering. Some build monuments or tabernacles to their suffering to worship themselves as an idols, such as a narcissist.

Anon 7:32 I really appreciate people who want to hold an intelligent conversation, being honest and straightforward about their questions. I would rather not play word games on this blog. If you would like to speak with me you can get my phone number from Kevin.
Not word games Donna. You have a single source of knowledge and wisdom, namely the Bible verses others who are eclectic and use any and every source of anykind for the knowledge they reason from including fairy tales. Joseph Smith the founder of the mormon religion was an eclectic writing his book of mormon from sources such as captian hook, the KJV of the bible and his own imagination. Single mindedness is a wisdom which you posses and others lack. Your position on the SCOC shows the same single mindedness 100 percent acceptance or 100 percent rejection unlike others who… Read more »
Paul alternately praised and denounced the Pharisees based on their adherence to scripture, Sun Devil. I don't think you'll mind that term since your state has a college team named the Sun Devils, and you bear false witness frequently, like the Devil, and you are from a hot state.
Montesquieu, very true about men showing emotions seems to be a no no within the cult specifically if they are giving a lesson. I can speak for Portland how MM handled one SB who would give s passionate lesson sometimes crying. MM told me he would have to control his emotions if he was to preach again. This was two to three years ago. SB is still not preaching or giving talks.
Interesting, Craig. I noticed that for the longest. In remembering when I got a call about 2 months after my withdrawal from TC, and, overwhelmed with emotion at how I'd been cut off from my family and the church, yours truly started crying. Well, that apparently was too much for him. My withdrawal turned into an excommunication, and it's now going on 11 years later. Note to self, do not cry when describing your pain at being unjustly withdrawn from to the evangelist. It may appear to be effeminacy, which smacks of homosexuality to them. Instead, pretend like you are… Read more »
Oh, and before I forget, let's consider the Stanton saying of 'So and so is not happy'. There are quite a few people who look on Sunday morning at Stanton's worship as if they are at Aunt Polly or Uncle Elmer's funeral. How do you determine if someone is happy or not, and exactly what has that got to do with salvation? Was Elijah happy when Jezebel threatened his life? Sounded to me like he wanted to die, from what I gather. Does anyone imagine he looked particularly happy constantly at that time? But, Stanton would say, 'ah, he doesn't… Read more »
I have heard Pastor Tim and even Pastor Chris show emotion during a sermon. Remember the pastors are real people and so
Something may touch their heart just as it does ours in a sermon.
When you as the preacher or teacher is just stoic delivering a sermon I am sorry but I would go to sleep. I like personally a personal story mixed in with the sermon. Heaven forbid you would ever hear someone say Amen during your sermons. Or Hallelujahs!
Montesquieu: To be fair TC's judgment was not based on your emotional exchange but rather on the fact withdraw did not keep you quiet when you visited their assembly. So now you are not permitted to enter their midst.
Concerned, that is partially true. He came less than a year after my withdrawal, and the only reason he gave why my withdrawal was correct was that I needed to be quiet and listen. That may work with a 10 year old, but not a grown man. God never expected any Christian to follow another simply because they say be quiet and listen. You'll never find that example set by any Godly leader in the entire Bible. They always gave reasons, and that is what Stanton and TC failed to do. They couldn't refute the statement I made, that was… Read more »
Why did you stay out for 4 years? What was wrong with your withdraw?
Thank you for your concern and questions, Concerned. On September 21st, 2008, in the Sunday Evening Bible Class, I was formally withdrawn from at the end of it. I had been threatened multiple times in private that I would be withdrawn from if I didn't silence myself, and I simply was not going to be quiet. As mentioned before, there had been four issues brought to the issue of the Preacher. His response was to suspect some sort of coup was going on, and to try and silence me. That was not my intent at all. Further, another preacher had… Read more »
The other charge of 'Walking disorderly' was in Thessalonians, and clearly talks about sponging off others and being a busy body. Well, I didn't sponge off anyone, had given generously, and loaned out money as well. I owed no one anything. So, according to the Biblical definition, I was no disorderly walker. But, Stanton had a different definition. According to them, walking disorderly means disagreeing with your teachers. They said I disagreed disagreeably, as if you can disagree with teachers agreeably. But that's nonsense, as no one has ever disagreed with their teachers, agreeably or disagreeably, in Stanton and survived… Read more »
AnonymousFebruary 23, 2019 at 7:35 AM Obviously, Stanton never learns. You haven't learned from them at all. Christ ripped the Pharisees not for them upholding the moral law, for anyone who sins needs to repent. But, he ripped them because there was no repentance in their doctrine. By taking hope away from sinners, they made sinners two fold more the child of hell than themselves. Matt 23: Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye compass sea and land to make one proselyte, and when he is made, ye make him twofold more the child of hell than yourselves.… Read more »

Stanton is up to their old tricks. They believe they are God, and they will intercept the desperate pleas for mercy from sin-sick sinners who pour them up to God, and use them as weapons to control and enslave those sinners under their dominion. The entire purpose for rebuke and church discipline was chastisement makes chaste. However, in Stanton, sins are weapons to hold people down for the rest of their lives, and to exalt oneself. You see, in Stanton, you get bonus points for exposing others sins and hiding your own. You would think, if you were a leader… Read more »
Notice how, like cockroaches and rats, Stanton always attacks from the shadows. They haven't got the courage to publicly identify themselves, by name or with identifying remarks. Our friend, AnonymousFebruary 23, 2019 at 7:35 AM, is an example of one of the two poles which are making the church in America a wreck today. Our friend represents the legalistic look at sin, and has no comprehension of salvation or redemption, which means freedom from sin and it's consequences. God punishes to make chaste, and does not want anyone to perish in their sins. This is Stanton's major flaw, and yet they believe they are the only 1,500 people out of 7.7 billion that are going to heaven. http://www.worldometers.info/world-population/. Lastly, this is a method that Stanton has used to get rid of a lot of good men and women, and to hold them down. Frightening that we have churches here in America that work like the NKVD used to work in Communist Russia. You see, anonymous didn't address anything I said, simply jumped in for a kill shot. Montesquieu, You're being evasive with your sermon. You weren't asked to justify any actions, just answer the question Anon asked.
Ad hominem is a type of propaganda that is attacking the opponents character rather than the opponents' ideas or principles. Another type of propaganda is name calling, or stereotyping, or labeling where a person is compared to something inferior like a snake, rat, or cockroach to discredit the person or group as evil to silence their objections. Glittering generalities is another method of propaganda making vague statements like "I never heard that in any of the churches". What a sick church? Yes ..I didnotice family members showing little emotions. Emotion of joy and happiness was few and far between. Now that they are all out of that horrible place laughter is back and life appears to be rather normal.
Anon 8:44 I totally agree with the lack of emotion in members of Stanton. When you have to guard your every word, action and expression due to oppression you can't have joy. The singing is so labored, that when I was there I never understood what is meant to "sing PRAISES to the Lord". Now I truly understand what it means to sing praises from my heart.
My family has also seen a tremendous difference in my overall outlook and happiness in life. I'm happy for you that your family is out and they are enjoying life.
Great point, Donna. TC visited my congregation and said the singing was terrible. It was. But, when you are emotionally stifled by oppression, how can you fake joy?
The children could not fake joy. They were the only honest ones in our congregation. Thank goodness they got out before their lives are completely ruined. This is a disgrace!

Donna and Montesquieu, Portland was noted for being horrible at singing. I can’t sing but I’d sing out. I always thought it was the effort that mattered. Not the quality. If you can’t sing you can’t sing. But you can always put forth the effort.
I'm not much of a singer either, Craig, but if God gave me my voice, and I raise it to please him, that is all I can do. Meanwhile, plenty of professional singers defy God publicly with their behavior, and sound wonderful. Pretty sure God doesn't accept that. Sing with the understanding. That said, singing songs with the church commemorating moments of public sadness or joy, united, is quite a joyful and harmonious experience. I recently read Leah Remini's book about scientology & was blown away how many similarities that cult had compared to the COC cult. It's mind blowing how easy people get sucked in. I was only in for about 7 years. My parents joined when I was a teenager..I knew immediately how off this place was & left when I graduated high school & never looked back. I couldn't and… Read more »
Anon if you liked her book, watch her series on Hulu or Amazon. Watch season 1 of the Leah Remini Scientology and the Aftermath. So many families are broken, just as they are in Merie's church.
I watched the 1st season need to catch up on the rest. These 2 cults are alike in so many ways it's scary!!
Anon 2:54 It would be awesome to see this video go viral. Word is spreading about Merie’s cult and I’m hoping more and more video’s will be made. I for one will be making them. My story should soon be on this blog as well. There is just so much awareness about this cult that needs to be spread from coast to coast so people know what this group is truly about and there is nothing hidden from them. I’m confident if people know the history and current practices and rules of the cult, less and less will become members… Read more »
Be careful about making videos. America may be heading for a Civil War, and you don't want this information to get into the wrong hands. It could cost peoples lives. The left is ruthless, and if you dislike Stanton, the left is even worse. It's like jumping out of the frying pan into the fire.

Montesquieu, s kangaroo court to say the least. The attempted withdrawal of the two in Des Moines, those who objected you see what happened to them. The kangaroo court recognized after how many years they handled that situation wrong. GP, TC and KS really think they have the Holy Spirit. What a joke with all the mistakes they’ve made in their so called leadership. Merie Weiss the leader of unscriptural withdrawals who was the guide to the circus of the SCOC.
Montesquieu, no worries about making videos. I just want them exposed in the most efficient way.
It was, Craig. Yes, when Dianne was withdrawn from, there were no objections allowed. Marcy was set upon for withdrawal as soon as she said she objected. Despite my differences with some of the leadership in Stanton, yet still, I harbor no animosity, and would reconcile. It should be a Civil Difference. While it's hard to keep it there because of all the emotions and passions that Stanton stirs up in families and friendships, yet still, Proverbs does say, 'When a man's ways please the Lord, he maketh even his enemies to be at peace with him'. I thought it… Read more »
I have so much animosity & resentment some days I feel there's not enough therapy out there for me. So grateful for this blog and the fb page. Now that I'm a parent myself I just never want my children to feel the pain I have felt and still struggle with as an adult. The hypocrisy I see disgust me but to them I'm the bad one. I'm just a law abiding citizen living my life on my own terms in pur bliss but to them I'm satan!
Montesquieu 9:25 and above. Well said. I have no problem using the word snake because of much of what you mentioned. One thing about being a preacher and attending multiple May weeks is how sins of members were shared within the gossiping group. My wrong in partaking in it as well. Members would be amazed what is shared. So virtually your sins repented of or not is known coast to coast. Ones such as DS in Phoenix if he is still there has enough of his own issues to be bringing up others past. Very much a snake he is.… Read more »
Thank you, Craig. Wow! I suspected it, because I had seen preachers doing this since I was a child, but to hear you say it was done at May Trips. They traffic in others business, while the growth of the church, and helping it's members is neglected. Busybodies. Kevin mentioned this is like what goes on in Scientology, which someone mentioned earlier. They use past 'confessions' to blackmail people and to keep them in the group. Very devious, sneaky, manipulative, and flat out deceitful. People come to them because they trust them and want help, only to find out they… Read more »
I think God is tired of Stanton's oppression, and I think he is going to deliver many of the people they have been oppressing for decades, and they'd better pray he shows them more mercy than they have shown their victims. They have a May trip coming up here shortly. Probably the first week of March. No harm in having done it in the past. Learning and changing is key. The fight of the church is against sin, not trying to throw each other under the bus based on sins done decades ago and long since repented of. I did this… Read more »
And, Craig, I know some pretty interesting tidbits about quite a few people in Stanton, including some current preachers. But, I do to them what God tells all Christians to do. He says he forgets their sins and forgives, and so I do too. Some of the things I could say would end marriages and churches, likely enough. But, I'll take it with me to my grave. It's not noble to be telling others business all over the place, a habit Stanton has been engaging in for over 40 years, regularly. Consider, when I have a friend I really like,… Read more »
Have to relate, that when I attended, one of the brothers, EH, who I've known for 30 years at least, passed his songbook to me, and went without one during a song. When I noticed he didn't have one, I tried to give him his back, but he wouldn't take it. Touching gesture. Thank you, EH. Also, thank you, 8 years afterwards to MG, who was visiting from Georgia with her husband, KG. Even though I was withdrawn from, she sat next to me and gave me a hug. That takes courage. And I must mention that PP, GP's wife,… Read more »
I have no animosity towards those who have caused harm. I am greatly saddened and don't trust those who have caused so much damage and are still leaders in the church. I've said before, how can anybody live their Christianity in any congregation that treats anybody like this? How can anybody meet their brethren at each function happily knowing exactly how they feel towards you? There is just sorrow and a great disconnect. How is anybody expected to live their Christianity like that?
Quite true, Lynn, love is the end of the law, and Stanton is too busy remembering sins that happened decades ago to be able to love properly. Can't even forgive children they raised. They certainly can't forgive a sin sick and weary world. Since there is no peace available in Stanton, they don't grow.
Anon 6:30 at least you admit you’re with Merie’s cult. Stagnant no, rather dead. Your so called church is a joke when it comes to growth. Portland stopped growing when KG and MG moved to Columbus. Even Merie would be ashamed of you all. You all have disrespected her ideology of how her cult would grow. You’ve fallen far far short. You are not the church you see within scriptures by a long shot. Christ’s church added daily. Keep drinking the kool aid and remain among the spiritually dead.
Did Anon 6:30 comment get deleted?!
True, Craig. This was the first person from Stanton that had the guts to come on here and identify themselves. Of course, they imitate the leaders, and immediately go for a kill shot by trying to dig up the darkest, dirtiest deed they can find on the outspoken types on here, and ignore every last idea. Stanton is really good at ignoring doctrine and the meaning of scriptures, but when it comes to others sins, they perk up remarkably and have absolutely fantastic listening skills. Haha, I remember I did that as a kid. I'd be asleep in Bible class… Read more »

AnonymousFebruary 25, 2019 at 9:18 AM It's still there. However, this website actually obeys the Bible far better than Stanton, and forces them to live up to their scripture that they read every Sunday before they solemnly take the Lord's Supper. And I quote, "If you confess your sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness". Stanton feels they are the confessors, like the Pope and the Catholic church, and if you don't confess to them, your confessions aren't valid. The very thing that initiated the Protestant Reformation with Martin… Read more »
Further, GP and TC are the equivalent of the Pope in Stanton. All confessions must go through them, or through local assigned preachers (the COC equivalent of a priest). Otherwise, you can't go to heaven, and are lost. Well, that's not what the Bible says. While God designed the church, he designed it to be a haven where the leaders guide the erring back to the right, as the Great Shepherd gave an example of. Sheep are more liable to go astray in Stanton, because when they wander off the path, the shepherds come up and beat them senseless. If… Read more »
Ironically, it was amusing to watch the men yesterday passing the mike around when people had prayer requests and when they had confessions. When I was withdrawn from in 2008, I slammed Stanton for only passing the mike around on confessions, not on prayers. So confessions were very important, but prayer requests, not so much. LOL. They've updated their standards.
Montesquieu..I'm a little behind here…are you a member?!
No worries, it's a bit of an odd situation, CLT. Amusingly, there are many who think that your initials with a U added define Stanton. I'm not one of them. Anyhow, yours truly was withdrawn from 9/21/2008, and excommunicated 8/1/2012. After numerous attempts to attend again, I now do. I've promised to sit and listen quietly, and they don't disturb me. It appears likely they supposed I was a Wild Man of Borneo, and thought I was there to cause mayhem, which I wasn't. This is typical because they frequently suspect those who get punished have lost their minds, and… Read more »

And to conclude the evening, notice how our friend from Stanton who posted earlier did not state the details of my withdrawal, what it was for, or the charges? LOL, but is a man being assertive and in charge a bad thing? There are many women outside of Stanton who don't think so. https://thetransformedwife.com/. CLT, JS follows the marching orders just as the other preachers of Merie’s cult. Some are more oppressive than others. Montesquieu, seems to me the female was in the wrong for having those thoughts about you. Secondly sharing those thoughts. No proof at all just a guess then planting those seeds in others minds. Bad bad bad on her and for the ones who gave ear to it. Is that not what the cult teaches. Where is the big waste of a meeting at this year? Though I was entertained by the discussions from last year. What a joke. Maybe we’ll get to listen in again this year. Lol.
Seemed that way to me too, Craig. I was never in the habit of discussing people's personal idiosyncrasies behind their backs with other people, so I don't expect people to do it to me. And there was no lack of subject matter for me to do it on either. Gracious, it's like I'm in elementary school again. 'Your ears are big'. 'You are fat'. 'You are skinny'. Like a bunch of kids. Montesquieu or anyone who may know. Have they the top cronies of the cult ever asked forgiveness because of unscriptural withdrawals?
Haven't seen it done, though they've lifted plenty. They had to lift all their unscriptural withdrawals for 'defiled marriage beds', 'corrupt minds', and 'uncleanness'. And they didn't even go and make serious efforts to contact people they'd withdrawn from for it, and who no longer attended. One woman was the only woman in Napa who came to church after the church did personal work there for about 1-2 years, and she'd been withdrawn from 20 years prior for uncleanness, and I believe it was in the church KS was in before she came to Stanton. So the church announced, when… Read more »
You said ' they make sure you are not unclean otherwise you cant get baptized. That is nowhere in the Bible.'1 Corinthians 3:10-15 should be considered. "But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon". John the Baptist would not allow baptism to the Sadducees and Pharisees but told them to bring forth fruits meet for repentance. If your not careful you end up with situations like Craigs. They say one thing, Craig says another concerning his baptism. carefulness eliminates confusion. .the principle is there
Yes, Concerned. They waffle quite a bit. Underneath it all, they have a serious problem understanding God's mercy for themselves, and so can't show it to others. You can't give others what you don't first have yourself. Their unforgiveness towards others simply shows they don't think they have forgiveness themselves, for forgiven people don't act like they act.
I would like to hear a lesson on discord. The clearest fruit of discord is violence between two people or groups. When nations go to war it is because of the discord between them has reached intolerable levels. God hates discord and with good reason, it leads to the loss of human life when carried out to its final conclusion. Blessed are the peace makers who can dissolve discord and resolve difference and thus preserve human life.
Unity is nice, but prostituting truth for it isn't. You never find a Godly man being quiet about the truth for the sake of peace. You do see Eli not calling out blatant public sin, UNREPENTED OF SIN (have to throw that in there, because Stanton is big on going back years to dredge up old sins), and getting destroyed for it. Facts don't care about feelings. Stanton feels that unless you become the most obsequious sycophant, and admit they are 100% right, and you are 100% wrong, then you can't be listened to. Pride is what leads to contention… Read more »

ConcernedFebruary 28, 2019 at 2:05 PM There was back in 2013. As a matter of fact, I never had a Fakebook account until I heard of the Stanton Church Fakebook account, with lots of Christian kids. I went on in July of 2013, immediately. Soon after, AD went on a couple of profane rants, and was very justly kicked off the site by PK. Correction, typed my last post in a hurry, and there were a few errors. They are corrected below. Recommend avoiding Social Media altogether, or use Disqus on generally Christian friendly sites like Breitbart, Daily Wire, American Thinker, the Federalist, among others. DuckDuckGo is far superior to Google for a search engine. Christian information on Google is banished to the Siberia regions of search results, 100 or more search results deep, where no one visits. In this manner, propaganda is exalted, and truth is demoted. Never in human history have so few controlled the minds of so many. We may be… Read more »
Anon 4:19 great topic and points. Merie’s cult has perfected causing discord with families and individuals. So many comments on this blog would back that statement up. The meeting is in San Antonio this year. This coming week. More kissing up to the preachers and teachers by the locals. It's funny they'll judge the world for Christmas but when these meetings come around they spend ridiculous amounts of money repainting, buying furniture, spending lots on food and household items, and making everyone gift baskets. Gotta kiss up to those preachers! Why don't they do that when their relatives come to visit? Respecter of persons? Yes, please.
Anon 12:59AM But they sure do accept those Christmas gifts from their family..will even go to visit on Christmas day to collect! Makes me sick!!
Yes, and the more important you are in the church, the higher ranking members of other congregations you get to host. They have an inner circle elite that generally stays away from the common man. They don't want to be bothered with the commoners. That's why they hate this site, because we are peons and commoners, publicans and sinners. Not a bad idea, however, readers are leaders and leaders are readers. A literary culture, which processes information through print is far superior to one which hears information from an electronic medium, or which sees it on hellivision. There is a great topic that I think Stanton would be well advised to go into for their May (March) Trip, beginning this Sunday. That topic is Loud Women. If it weren't for one Loud Woman, there wouldn't be any Stanton. Initially, I disagreed with Kevin on 2 things. One was violence in self defense, and I've recently applied to be a… Read more »
Feminazi's have invaded the Church of Christ. Women initiate divorce 80% of the time, and they are very good at getting their way. Now, men are commanded to love their wives, but this is never to be used to justify a wife saying she won't be in subjection because she doesn't feel loved. God's command for a husband to love his wife, and for a wife to be in subjection to her husband were commands that were not contingent on the others obedience. Montesquieu, do you hate women?
AnonymousMarch 1, 2019 at 2:47 PM
Did God hate women? Because nothing I set out was not in the Bible. 100 years ago, Americans agreed 100% with what I said. Our nation was far greater, healthier, and more stable.
Truth sounds like hate to those who hate truth.
Monte preaches a lot, for someone who claims they didn't want to preach. He's built his own Crystal Cathedral here online and has a congregation to fill it. Instead of Monte, your new name is Ryan Osteen, the only difference is your pride is much greater than his, and you have far dirtier scandals than he has currently.
Cue up the daily sermon from Mr. Osteen, the congregation awaits.

Narcissism is from a lack of following the first commandment:Thou shalt have no other gods before me(Exodus 20:3, Deuteronomy 5:7) When applied in ones own life the idol of self is not worshipped. Montesquieu – You said "Personally, I refuse to even consider marriage unless a woman understands biblical manhood and womanhood." Well, I have news for you, we are all works in progress. When I married my wife, I knew she had some godly traits that I admired, but she was also beautiful and easy to talk to (for an introvert like me). That's not unimportant as a young male. You simply don't know it all—not now, and certainly not at 18 or 20. You just try to make wise choices and take reasonable risks from what you do know about life,… Read more »
If I was attending the May/March week meeting this year, the two main points I would bring up (either publicly or privately) is concerning the evangelists getting paid and the issues with elders and leadership within the group. As to the two evangelists being paid a salary, the main questions I have are: 1. If you are now currently paying the evangelists a salary, why then do you still condemn all other churches for doing the same? There have been some comments made here that say that the reasoning behind paying GP and TC a salary is because of the… Read more »
As for Elders and leadership, I fully understand that having Elders might not change much. Realistically, the way current teachers behave, it may not change anything at all since most current "teachers" are yes-men behind "main teachers". Though my main questions are: 1. Why after nearly 50 years does the group still not follow biblical structure? This is a question that has been raised not just by ex-members here, but for many years by current members as well. That includes Merie, who started this whole mess, and who wanted to establish Elders herself. 2.Why are both men and women who… Read more »
The answer to your questions of Why?
SCOC Members are Morons.
Advocate for Peace, Your questions are actually closing in on the entire problem everyone has been addressing on this blog for years now. Everything you have read coming from the experiences of those from the Stanton Churches of Christ are a result of having no qualified elders or deacons. This is the drip down from the system started from the very beginning. These churches broke off from the main Churches of Christ. When one person begins to baptize and organize groups from their teachings then of course the new members must go to the one who began the groups for… Read more »
Two excellent points, Advocate for Peace. Stanton engaging in paying preachers, exactly as Merie objected to when she started Stanton can be only viewed as hypocrisy, and the payments aren't clear at all. How much, from whom, for what? The 'evangelists' obviously aren't traveling so what are they being paid to do? If you take away all the ridiculous rules Stanton has had, and all the time they spent debating them, the two evangelists likely could have been millionaires working with the same energy they spent ceaselessly talking about unscriptural teachings and enforcing them. That way they could have supported… Read more »
Advocate for Peace, great questions. One thing I always heard from first attending is they do not teach their opinion. Lol, what a lie.
One major point to ponder. I believe we must attack/address the leadership. It is the leaders that have created the hurt, pain, and oppression…we must be cautious in our zeal to not malign or cast aside the many good people that have been duped into conformity via fear and sin-blackmail by the known anointed oligarchs. If we are able to use this platform to attack the top, well meaning and good intentioned members will soon join our ranks. We do well to concentrate our fire on the ramparts of the dictatorous oligarchy:For in doing so, we make the people they… Read more »

Signs You're Probably In A Cult:– The leader is the ultimate authority. If you’re not allowed to criticize your leader, even if the criticism is true, you’re probably in a cult. Cults begin w/ a charismatic leader who claims some supreme knowledge. They may call themselves a prophet, messenger, or an enlightened teacher. Cult leaders convince members to forfeit their critical thinking ability in return for a sense of belonging, authority, & purpose. To members, it doesn’t matter what the evidence or logic may suggest, the leader is always right, & their misdeeds are always justified. Criticism of the leader is… Read more »

Simply Google signs of a cult. The comparison to this "church" is beyond alarming!I guess I never saw the good people you have seen during your time. It's all monkey see money do. If they told you to drink the koolaid they are going to do it. All I saw was gossiping, meddling & constant judging. And they will tell you "it's their job to judge!"..that statement sent me over the edge and was such an eye opener to the hypocrisy and self righteousness!
Good comments Anon. There are definitely enough traits of a cult to satisfy the definition. As for the sex stuff, Merie's church focuses on exposing this to the point it takes the innocence of little ones and then they wonder why the curiosity. Those concessions are wonderful to all the itching ears. Also, instead of reporting members who have sexually abused even their own children, if they are repentant, they won't report it, which is against the law.Monte, this is the Alamo City. UnknownMarch 4, 2019 at 8:07 AM Hello Stanton plant, how are you? What congregation are you from? Stanton has been doing a wonderful job of infiltrating this website for the past five years, and it's now very evident. You actually were successful for quite some time. You had most convinced you weren't with Stanton, but you were from this site and disagreed with me. Well, your game is over. We all know that the only ones who want to silence those of us calling out Stanton, is Stanton themselves. HaHa, and according to Stanton, those of us who disagree with… Read more »
Loud women of Stanton Last night, I was listening to a May Trip discussion on 'Proper Attire' from 2006. It was a discussion dominated by women, who shouldn't be teaching at May Trips at all, but should be teaching their children, and other women. The women in Stanton aren't doing a very good job at all, overall, as the retention rate of their children is less than 10%. To them, that proves they are right, because the Bible said few will go to heaven. They are masters at eluding reality. So, this entire discussion, 13 years ago, was on wearing… Read more »
As our Stanton infiltrator above demonstrates, you either go along with Stanton's Pharisaism, or they will viciously attack you, call you crazy, ridicule, and follow you wherever you go. According to Stanton, you are crazy if you disagree with their teachers, and there is no way you can prove you are not. That's just reality, and they will talk about you when you aren't there, and convince your own family and dearest friends you truly are crazy. Then, they go quiet and wait for their next victim. Spiteful serpents. Let's focus on KS, shall we? She is way out of… Read more »
Further, KS has been a busybody all over the Brotherhood. I knew for a fact that as soon as DS went to Stanton, that wouldn't last long, because KS doesn't cede power easily. Sure enough, quite shortly afterwards, KS hit the road, ostensibly 'for the church' but she moved to be closer to her grandchildren. I'm pretty sure she was the one making that decision, not her husband, but this is the usual with the bossy Stanton wives. To be clear, KS has many good attributes, but being in submission is not one of them, and since this is the… Read more »
Montesquieu you sound like one of the most sexiest beings I've ever seen!! There are PLENTY of women out there who pass that exam & beat a man's time! Plenty of good women out there who are cops & would probably have no problem laying you out! Sounds like you have some serious personal issues with women..rejected maybe? Either way the arrogance you carry behind your key board is hard for anyone to take you seriously. I hope one day you meet your match to a women lol
Appeal to anecdote, logical fallacy. Individual examples don't outweigh the fact that a woman's upper body strength is often inferior to men's.
We are in a society that is sick with feminism, and it will take white hot heat to get rid of the disease. If you aren't part of the solution, you are part of the problem.
What's truly remarkable, is the feminists in Stanton originate in California. California is one of the 2 biggest Democrat states in America, along with New York. Recently, retired sheriff David Clarke wrote about how the Democrat party is like a cult. There are a lot of similarities with Stanton. Extreme indoctrination, and propaganda ruthlessly directed at any who disagree.
His column at TownHall is an interesting read.

Oh, and by the way, I am pretty good looking, thank you, even though you clearly meant sexist. The word sexist is a common term in the Democrat Identity politics playbook, and it doesn't faze me. Anyone who stands up for biblical womanhood is automatically a 'Sexist' by the definition of the Devilish Democrats. That pretty much makes every man and woman before 1940 in America full blown 'sexists'. Funny, their marriages lasted long and were far more satisfactory than today's.
By Hollyweirds definition, and they use Satan to evaluate humans by, I’m an ugly duckling. To Hollyweird, beauty is truth. To God, Truth is beauty.
Oh oh M. I do like reading your comments but will have to ask you why you think women should not vote? And to not be in any leadership rolls? Whoa there! God did give us a brain you know and this woman who is a Christian must tell you I vote and have been in some small leadership rolls along this journey of life of nearly 80 years. Anon 11:19 obviously you are anti Montesquieu, are you also anti Merie and her cult? Just noticed on the church directory has some new comments from cult sympathizers possibly.
I have to say that I agree with Monte's assessment of Merie's church in regard to women usurping men. They are the biggest hypocrites in teaching that women should not usurp the authority of men, yet they practice the exact opposite. Obviously the biggest usurper was Merie herself, making the entire foundation of her church built on sand. It's just so clear to me now how the entire beginning of this sect is based on a complete deception. To say one thing and do another. To say men are to lead – – and teach that evangelicals are so wrong… Read more »
Thank you, M Long. Huge hypocrisy, and you are right. The women in Stanton are virtually preachers, only they sit and don't stand. 'As if teaching and rebuking from a sitting position made it right!'. Amen! Being a teacher definitely has it's perks. Also, the teachers children generally travel to other congregations to be around other teachers children more. Of course, since the leaders in the church encourage the government to do welfare, instead of spending their own riches to help the poor of their church, there is plenty of spending money for these vacations. I'm pretty sure that MG… Read more »

There are plenty of times that the church has put restrictions on using the treasury to help its' members. I have suffered a few times of inquisitions after getting counseling to ask for help. There have been times that multiple people will ask you the same questions. The last time I did I just gave up asking, yet they will make sure that you are putting money in the plate. One thing to consider in asking why you were treated the way you were while in the SCOC is objectification. Degrading someone to the status of a mere object is objectification and it is usually cited with men who objectify women to a single purpose. However anyone can objectify another person; women objectify men as an ATM, that is only good as a source of cash. Leaders can objectify their followers demanding perfection from them with almost a complete disregard for the individuals rights, or thoughts, or desires for their own lives. Was listening last night to the 2006 talk on 'Food in the building'. How does he answer those that disagree or challenges him? He doesn’t. You think his wife PP calls the shots in that home? Lol
Sure is, Craig. That's just part of the stuff I kept 'putting on the shelf', as the teachers like to advise you to do if you don't understand something, before eventually in 2008, the shelf collapsed, and I couldn't be quiet anymore. Quite likely about RH. If your name is not TC, KS, or GP, you'd be wise not to bring up new ideas at a May Trip, if you hope to return to your congregation as a teacher. PP withdraw was in Boise ID by evangelist Chuck Tenet and he just announced to the congregation that the congregation had decided to withdraw from PP, GP was completely unaware and caught by surprise, even though he was the teaching preacher who had founded Boise. It was part of the charade of Chuck Tenet to go around to different congregations change the meeting times or days for personal work and Bible classes and withdraw from someone in the congregation. Dear reader, Arizona has been a regular contributor on here for years. There have been many good contributions from him on the 'Tow Truck Preacher', which it turns out is likely DS. Interesting facts we heard from nowhere else. Mostly, what he posted was insightful. However, when he began launching attacks, without justification on my comments, as he repeated again, with no factual reasons for doing so, it simply couldn't be tolerated. Truth is like a lion, it can defend itself, and it should never sit quietly, when under attack, with the exception of extraordinary circumstance, such as Christ being… Read more »
Since our friend Arizona, and the feminist invader use left wing identity politics, here is a 5 minute video on the tactic. When you can't win an argument, call your opponent a racist, a sexist, a misogynist, a hater, etc…. Or, if you are Stanton, call them Korah, proud, lustful, and on and on.

'If they attack you personally, it means they have not a single political argument left'
Margaret Thatcher
But Monte you have been on the attack mode for days against women. I just read every single comment under this feed. The majority of them are from you & mostly about your negativity towards women…but then you post a quote saying 'If they attack you personally, it means they have not a single political argument left'…The grown up thing to do is agree to disagree. You can't throw insults and not expect to get a reaction out of people. That's not the point of this blog by any means nor is it what Donna's video was about. Maybe you… Read more »
AnonymousMarch 6, 2019 at 2:21 PM Another straw man argument. Never attacked women. Attacked societies destroying God's design for man and women. 'Negativity'. Modern women use this word to describe ideas and facts they don't like. Again, facts don't care about your feelings. Rather than try and change facts and reality, try to change your attitude towards them. It's pride that tries to create alternate realities, and refuses to acknowledge objective truth, and that is your issue. You didn't disagree with a single fact I posted, complain about how long it is, when the truth is always pretty thorough and… Read more »

Montesquieu and Anon??? All points have been read. You all are not going to agree or persuade the other. If I’m not mistaken Montesquieu point on women began with how the women in the cult really are the head of it. First Merie, now KS. So let’s get back to exposing Merie’s cult, a source of healing and comfort for any who have been adversely affected by the cult. Proper understanding of scripture that was wrongly taught by Merie’s cult as well.
It's understandable that not all will be persuaded, but everyone on here should be opposed to liars, and our friend from Arizona is a serial liar. Everything true anyone on here says against Stanton is tainted if we allow him, because Stanton will sit and laugh at us for tolerating the most absurd and ridiculous ideas, that he consistently spouts. Imagine how silly and stupid we look for tolerating him saying Gary Preman has homosexual fantasies. The idea that we tolerate any ideas, no matter how corrupt, is totally bogus. We all should be held to a standard of truth.… Read more »
Craig I agree…Anon 2:21 pointed out to agree to disagree. Wise statement. That should be the end of the topic. It seemed to start about the cult women but turned into ones opinion of women in general. I think consideration from others should be well thought before commenting on this blog. It is okay to agree to disagree. Stanton is known for shoving their words down your throat & it's their way or no way. There's a lot of good discussions on this blog. Let's remember why we are all here & not go backwards.
Montesquieu, I agree we should be opposed to liars. Hopefully everyone will be honest with their comments. Merie’s cult are liars by omission as well as their greatest lie that they are the one and only true church. What they fail to reveal about their history and their unbiblical rules is a travesty. People considering joining the cult should be made aware of what they are truly getting involved in.

While Women's day is a huge hoax, yet, Vladimir Putin was totally right for thanking Russian women for staying beautiful, and taking care of the home. A lesson Stanton can profit from. Further, the reason why we have Marxist thinkers infecting the Democrat party, and all over this site with Feminism, lies, and no knowledge of history, is because our school systems, particularly our colleges, are full of Marxist thought.
Our friend from Arizona went to College, and is on here demonstrating how he is a Marxist pawn. Lies, uses corruption, and is full of guile. And he paid money for that. Or maybe he didn't. The Colleges are good at taking tax payer and money and using that to pay themselves to brainwash the unwitting dupes.

We are very close to a full blown Civil War, though the media, which influences nearly all of our family and friends, has kept that hush hush. The time period we are in is very similar to Germany before Hitler, Russia before Lenin, China before Mao, and France before the French Revolution. It's alarming, because mass horrors followed soon after. Of course, with God, we can do anything, but he never told us to be foolish and unwitting. Knowledge is powerKnow thine enemies. No, Lynn, nothing recent, wondering about the withdrawals of 1980. God sends chastisement to make chaste, but Stanton won't learn. They stubbornly insist that they are right, and that this website is proof that the end of the world is coming. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez isn't the only conspiracy theorist on the end of the world. They like to talk about Noah, but Noah was righteous and did not denigrate salvation. Stanton does. We do not see Noah ever stand up to make a confession, but in Stanton's world, if you don't do this, there is no salvation from the flood about… Read more »
The problem with Stanton's leaders is the same with King Uzziah. He was a powerful King, and it went to his head. This is the problem with TC, KS, and GP too. When Uzziah was corrected on a matter, he became enraged, attacked those telling him the truth and got leprosy. Interesting parallels. Uzziah wanted to burn incense in the temple, an act only allowed for the priests. Stanton wants to alone be responsible for people's salvation, neglecting God. Uzziah got leprosy, and Stanton has spiritual leprosy, as no one will join them. The topic of this May Trip was…..wait… Read more »
Dear Stanton leaders, you can run, but you can't hide. Your day of reckoning is coming, and it's not because of the world's wickedness. Your job is to offer salvation, and you are doing a horrible job of it, as you are the Prodigal Son's older brother. Jealous of those who God forgives. Funny, envy and jealousy were discussed today, and the Stanton leaders have a lot of it. I have no problem admitting I'm wrong and repenting, but the Stanton leaders can't be corrected at all. All the while they screech and holler that others can't be corrected and… Read more »
Also, truth is more important than unity. STanton always says they are telling the truth, and they are. They are telling TC's, KS's, and GP's truth, but they aren't telling the truth of the New Testament, which showed Christ heal many of severe spiritual and physical illnesses, and promised those who believed would be able to be healed, and that his Word could heal just as much, if not more than him. Stanton stubbornly rejects this. It doesn't seem fair to them that all their good works don't get them the upper seats, and so they are in a constant… Read more »
Oh yes, the lesson today was also on how those who aren't apart of Stanton aren't 'happy'. I'm very happy, but, unlike Hollyweird, I don't go around flashing meaningless sincere looking smiles. To judge a person's 'happiness', on how they look to us, is nonsense. This is a huge problem in churches, the leaders proclaim that those who agree with them are 'happy', and no one else is. Christianity is about facts, wisdom, knowledge, and truth, not feelings. Remember how happy and wonderful Jesus felt on the cross? Yes, neither do I, because it was kind of agonizing, and he… Read more »

I agree with your overall points concerning the church leaders! Furthermore, telling folks they can’t/shouldn’t go on this site is an admission of guilt. Stanton’s leaders could give Mao’s China a challenge when it comes to censorship and narrative control. One of Mao’s famous quotes reads as follows “To read too many books is harmful”:An eerily similar sounding mantra of Stanton leadership. Like…what exactly are they trying to stop their lovely members from reading? Don’t believe your lying eyes.
Outstanding quote by Mao. Stanton does this constantly. Reading books is not recommended. Neither is reading the Bible and coming to conclusions the teachers don't agree with.

A question to the reader. Can Unity remain pure if it is forced through fear or coercion? If I agree with you because I’m not allowed to disagree ,I am not in unity with you. They were talking about unity at their so called “May trip” but the the real word they were expounding upon was conformity. 1jn 4:18 explains how unity works in Christians through love. The leaders love to use Philippians 2:2 as justification and contend that every little wild rule they make must be adhered to or else. A reasonable person will definitely disagree on things with a… Read more »
Anon 6:16 no doubt GP is not ready to give an answer. Question, how many elders were chosen from the big cult unity meeting?
Big Fat Zero. The leaders are way to power hungry to actually seed a modicum of control.

Its amusing seeing some of these commenters pointing out others fallacious reasoning, but blind to their own logical fallacies. Comments filled with one liners, and tidbits of different authors sprinkled throughout their empty tirades, totally lacking any real substance, but filled with esoteric language used to create an impression of truth or plausibility. Et tu BruteMarch 11, 2019 at 11:01 PM Vague claims, accompanied with typical Stanton tropes of 'a mind burdened with sin', 'I just hope you never have to ask for drops of water to cool your tongue', 'totally lacking any real substance'. You Stanton representatives stand out like a sore thumb. While I have your attention let me run this chain of reasoning through your mind: in Daniel 5 Belshazzar promises to make anyone the third rule if the can interpret his visions, which Daniel did. The position of third ruler would be after King and queen the number one and number two positions of authority in a kingdom. In Revelations 4:4 it speaks of the four and twenty elders, twelve of which are the apostles as Christ stated in Matthew 28 but the other twelve are left unnamed but is it implied that they would be the wives of the… Read more »
For as much as they went on about it, the congregation I attended consisted of people who all were "respecters of men," in the sense that it was obvious to anyone with eyes to see that preferential treatment, or lack of it, was given based solely on the perceived status of an individual. Those individuals who seemed "lowly," or were exceedingly timid, mild or humble, often attracted spiritual bullying from those who seemed to enjoy throwing their weight around, and those individuals who exuded inner strength and projected confidence — surprise! — were not bothered. So the whole organization just… Read more »
I can second your experience Anon 10:08. It's pretty rich how a Stanton leader comes on this site using the moniker e tu Brute. Stanton rulers have consistently stabbed their comrades in the back. As soon as your out of favor your name is mud. Furthermore, he basically says we're all going to hell even though he doesn't know what goes on in our personal lives, and it appears, he takes pleasure in believing that. Unbelievable.
Anon 11:04, I have a lot. For starters GP is a self proclaimed control freak. Perfect qualifications for a cult leader. For members that is who you are truly following. Believe it or not. GP, PP, TC and KS make rules of them and or are continuing to enforce Merie’s rules. You are followers of man. Christ’s doctrine has been transgressed by this cult. Christ not God has anything to do with it. It’s a dead church (cult).
Very true, Craig. We are in a culture that celebrates abortion, porn, and homosexuality, and while Stanton has nothing to say in public, they are bothering about how many times to break the unleavened bread. It boggles the mind. No wonder why they can't add anyone. Who in the world gives two hoots about how many times the unleavened bread is broken, when nearly half the kids in America are born in homes without a married father? Does anyone think those fatherless kids give a care about how many times GP's precious unleavened bread gets broken?
Though they won't admit it, SCOC is matriarchal in nature, and has been since its inception as a denomination. And sitting atop this hierarchy is KS, not GP or TC. She alone has the final say on all matters. She alone is their highest authority. And while perched atop her pinnacle, from which she surveys all of the so-called "autonomous" congregations, she rules absolutely, like a jealous deity in her own self-made universe.
AnonymousMarch 13, 2019 at 12:22 PM Truth, Didn't initially think this, but Stanton's discipline is like that of a woman. Withdrawal is a supreme form of Silent Treatment, and we know which gender employs that tactic. Used to admire KS, and still do admire many of her righteous attributes. However, she has emasculated hundreds of men with her domineering nature, and her constant demands for control. She dominated Bible Classes in Stanton for decades, and the men sat helplessly by. So Stanton never grew. And they won't. The Stanton representatives who do come on here, have a woman's response. One… Read more »
The men in Stanton are frequently figureheads. They represent the women's issues. If a man says what the Bible really says on a topic, and the women don't agree, he will be in severe trouble with Stanton. Learned this from personal experience. The women will claim he said it 'disagreeably'. We all know some women will never hear the truth, and will always call it 'disagreeable'. The woman's opinion is fickle and varied, and that is why God decreed she be in subjection to her husband. Women in America 100 years ago knew this, and were happy, protected, safe, and… Read more »
